I ski them. The rust will exist off the edges before y'all get to the lift first run.

Viscous rock, the soft one, works not bad. The rust will always come dorsum though. Virtually park skis wont last long enough for rust to be an effect though if y'all actually ski park with whatever regularity.

gummi rock... or 300-400 dust diamond file. you lot could utilize a more agressive file, just be careful. and only make sure y'all dry your skis off before you shop them and dont store them outside. hands avoidable

Steel wool has worked for me.

Rust shouldn't be much of an issue if your storing your shit correctly.

Additionally ... Dry out your skis off every time yous ride too , not just for storage . Rust will emerge overnight if yous don't treat them .

Doing this works for me. I have a roof rack so the skis would get soaked driving back from the mountain in the rain (PNW). I thought letting them airdry in the garage was good plenty, but I started having problems with rust. Now I dry them with a towel when I become home and almost never see whatever rust build up. What piddling I do become comes off easy with a viscous stone.

Use hydrofluoric acrid. Works groovy!

Dont do this, at least i wouldnt suggest using acrid based rust removers.
Say farewell to your bases and sidewalls if yous exercise.....
Vinegar(or blistering soda and water til its pasty) and a wire brush carefully,
followed by industrial steel wool(can find it right next to sandpaper in EVERY tool store)
If this combo doesnt take care of it or if its still has black spots that ways the rust has pitted itself into the metallic and is to deep to exist removed with hand abrasives and will proceed reoccuring
If the metals pitted or rust keeps reoccuring ofttimes a fresh edge tune and keeping them dry out from in that location on out will exercise the trick.
I too cover my edges in wax in the offseason, like glob it on, its super humid in the summertime where i alive....
All times are Eastern (-4)
